Vishmi works with adults, children and teens from all walks of life, who are seeking personal growth and change.  She utilizes a combination of creative and evidence-based techniques, including Emotion Focused Therapy, CBT, Trauma Informed Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, as well as art and music techniques, when they match with the client’s interests.

At the heart of Vishmi’s work is a desire to help clients move forward from difficulties in a way that is deeply aligned with their values and unique life context. Her natural warmth and calm presence support clients to feel at ease and understood.

Sometimes, especially when working with young children, Vishmi may offer outdoor “walk and talk” sessions in the nearby park, when the weather allows – creating a more relaxed and engaging environment for therapeutic connection.

Vishmi has previously worked with children at risk of abuse and neglect at Barnardos, gaining valuable insight into trauma and attachment. As a migrant to Australia herself, she brings a deep understanding of the complex issues involved in navigating cross-cultural dynamics, especially between parents and their children – whether young or grown.

Vishmi also has considerable administrative skills, which allow her to assist our practice on a part-time basis, with Office Management, when she is not working with clients.
