Insha Mohammad

Insha is a registered psychologist with over six years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and their families. She works with young people and their parents, both individually and together, because she believes lasting change happens when the whole family feels understood and supported.
Insha aims to create an environment where children and young people can share their experiences in ways that are comfortable for them, whether verbally or non-verbally. Her approach emphasises both empowerment and empathy, helping individuals build awareness and confidence in how they relate to and engage with the world around them.

Insha supports children and families with:

  • Anxiety, including separation anxiety, generalised anxiety, and selective mutism
  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Emotional regulation and big feelings
  • Tics
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Behavioural challenges and parenting support
  • School-related stress and school refusal
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Social difficulties and friendships

Insha’s approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each child and family. Her core training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and play therapy, and she draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based approaches. She also uses attachment-informed parent work and family-based approaches, so that parents leave sessions with practical tools they can use at home. For younger children, therapy is playful and engaging. For teens, it’s respectful, honest, and goal-driven.

Insha’s Qualifications
