Mariana is a Registered Psychologist with over 8 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults, in a caring and compassionate way. Mariana draws upon her diversity of training to provide the most helpful treatments tailored to each of her client’s individual needs. She strongly believes that psychological health is as important as physical health, and that psychological injuries should not be neglected, because there are proven techniques we can use to improve our wellbeing and relationships, leading to a happier life
Due to Mariana’s commitment to deep learning she spent five years in clinical training through volunteering in a Public Hospital, where she worked with patients belonging to a wide variety of cultural and social environments.
Following her interest in Psychodynamic Therapies, she has undertaken a three-year post-graduate course in Psychoanalysis. During her years in the USA, Mariana trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and successfully applied this approach with children. In Australia, she has received training in several evidence based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
